I recently had the pleasure of working with Postino for their grand opening of the Postino Broadway location in Denver, CO! I love Postino’s LoHi location so I was thrilled when they asked me to be the Denver event photographer for their new Broadway location.
This event photography actually took place during their soft opening a few days prior to the grand opening. The reason for this is so that staff is able to do a “dress rehearsal” with friends and family prior to the grand opening. It also allowed me to capture the action so they had a library of images on the date of their grand opening.
Their space is beautiful and the staff was super friendly and open. It was fun to see how things came together. These images ended up being used in all of the local publications such as 303Magazine, 5280, and Denver Eater.
I photographed both the morning brunch and evening dinner sessions and the evening dinner session was tough from a lighting perspective! I could not use flash because we wanted to capture the ambiance. Thank god for high iso cameras! My Sony cameras do great with low-light and this was as true test of it. Postino is known for their moody and romantic ambiance and their Broadway location continues that reputation.
