Denver In-home Lifestyle Photography Session with Interior Designer Loni Brown

Winter is the perfect time to take advantage of the great indoors and do an in-home lifestyle photography session in Denver!  Although we have a fairly mild winter in Denver, doing your photo session indoors can be a great way to make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed during your photoshoot and indoor photoshoots can be a little more timeless, meaning the photos won’t show the outside seasons as much like brown grass, bare trees, or snow on the ground.

I had the pleasure of working with Loni Brown who is starting her interior design business, Entirely Eco, in Denver, Colorado.  She was wanting to do an indoor lifestyle photography session at her beautiful home to spotlight herself but also show off her home and interior design.  Loni’s home worked particularly well given how white and bright her home is. Generally, having lots of natural light and light colors (ideally white) will work best for indoor lifestyle photos in Denver.

We did several different looks, one being the cozy “working from home” type vibe with shoes off hanging out on the couch or in a comfortable chair.  This type of look feels more conversational, like you’re having a cup of tea and catching up with an old friend in the living room type feel. This is great for an “about me” page on your website and random pictures throughout your website to show off who you are and what your vibe is.

The other look we did was in Loni’s office, which was awesome!  Loni did an amazing job decorating her office and she had one of the coolest desks I’ve seen.  This type of look works well for more of a work vibe, obviously. We wanted to say “welcome to my office” and then also show her doing some work at her desk.

When doing an in-home lifestyle photoshoot, it’s important to get the elements of the space that speak to the person’s personality.  Loni had lot of decorations that spoke to who she is and what her energy is like, and I did my best to capture this. Including these in the gallery of your in-home lifestyle photo gallery helps tell the story of who you are and what you’re all about.

Let’s Build Your Personal Brand

Denver in-home lifestyle photos can be one of the best ways to show your personal brand, as it offers a glimpse into your personal and professional life that is hard to capture if you were to do a photoshoot at a generic place or outside.  It is important to make sure you have a well lit and well decorated space. The last thing we want to show is outdated kitchens, old window treatments, or dirty work spaces (unless of course that is the look we are going for).

If your home isn’t up for a photoshoot, there are spaces around Denver that can be rented for an hourly rate.  Contact me today to discuss ideas for your next in-home lifestyle photography shoot in Denver!
