I recently wrapped up some family photos at Union Station in Denver with Laura and Alex. Laura is the sister to another family I’ve done multiple photoshoots with here in Denver. Laura’s sister in-law is Hope, who I did a beautiful maternity shoot for at Red Rocks. I also did extended family photos in Breckenridge when the whole gang (including the grandparents) were out here over Christmas and that’s when I met Laura and Alex, who were visiting from California.
They came back out for Hope’s baby shower and they scheduled a family photo session with me while they were here! They loved Hope’s photos but wanted something urban so I suggested Denver’s Milk Market and Union Station as a great spot for some Denver family photos. I’ve done photo at the Dairy Block and Union Station before and they are some of my favorite spots in Denver. They can be busy in the afternoon so mid-morning is the perfect time.
We met at the Dairy Block at 8:45am and they were ready to go! But honestly, it was chilly (February) and lighting in the alley is pretty dark until the sun gets a little higher in the sky so we headed over to Union Station where it was warmer (inside) and lighting was better.
Jasmine, their baby, was adorable and we got some sweet baby photos at Union Station. I also had a some fun with Alex and Laura, new parents who probably haven’t had a chance to enjoy each other’s company in a while. So we did some “engagement” style couple photos with them in Union Station. There is something romantic about an old train station and Denver has done a fantastic job of re-doing the Union Station area.
