Compass seems to be taking the real estate industry by storm and they are growing BIG time in both Denver and Boulder in 2019. I have been doing quite a few lifestyle photography sessions with their newest agents and Julie was a recent one of those! These might be my new favorite type of shoot. We get to go all over Denver or Boulder to capture the lifestyle of these agents and get their personality to shine through. Definitely more fun than your typical headshot session!
Julie is a Compass Denver & Boulder agent and we got to use one of her listings for our shoot. This is a big perk to these shoots as it’s definitely a treat to use some of these beautiful properties. And while this one was no exception, lighting was not as ideal as I’d like for natural light and we ended up using some off-camera flash for this session. Definitely not my preference, but you have to do what you have to do to get the light you want.
After shooting in the house, we headed to Pearl St. where we did some photos of Julie walking down the street, hanging out, and showing off some personality. We chose the East end of Pearl as it’s a little quieter and more her pace. And it seemed like she knows EVERYONE in Boulder as everyone was saying hi to her! Awesome!
I love these shoots because it’s way more interactive and we work together to figure out a strategy that works for that individual person. There are a ton of real estate agents and a big factor that sets them apart is showing that they are actual people and not just a perfect headshot. It’s showing something that people can connect with and that means a lot when choosing someone to sell your biggest asset, your home.
