So what makes this story so cool is that Andrew was one of my very first customers. Andrew was looking for a Denver photographer to shoot dating profile photos back in 2018ish(?) back when I was just getting started. Those photos paid off big for Andrew! In 2020, Andrew reached out to me and said his fiance would be reaching out to schedule engagement photos in the mountains! So I knew this was going to be awesome.
Heather reached out to me and we talked about some different locations we could use for our shoot. But I knew they needed something GRAND. So we ended up doing our engagement photos on Guanella Pass! Guanella Pass is one of my favorite places in Colorado. I have camped up there dozens of times and it is usually a little quieter than Summit County. It is also home to Mt. Bierstadt, which is an awesome place to finish up a shoot.

Andrew and Heather brought their new corgi, Hoagie. What a cute little guy! Bringing dogs on your shoot is always welcomed. Heather also brought her best friend Cari and Cari helped out with managing the dogs and making sure Heather looked her best. Cari actually ended up hiring me for a shoot of her own, a personal branding photoshoot for a new business she is starting.

The four of us had a blast and we celebrated with a bottle of champagne Andrew had picked up for the shoot. I am so happy for the two of them and I’m so glad I got to have a part in how the two of them met. And it’s awesome that I am now capturing the next phase of their journey together. And as a bonus, they’ve asked me to shoot their wedding!
I love being a Denver photographer because I get to work with awesome couples like Andrew and Heather. And to top it off, I get to work in places like Guanella Pass. It’s a bit of a drive, but it’s always worth it and it’s why I live in Colorado to begin with.
