I recently worked with Lindsay for her high school photos at Mount Falcon near Denver! Lindsay absolutely crushed this photoshoot and I’m thrilled with how her photos turned out. Lindsay picked Mount Falcon and it had been a while since I shot here, but it reminded me how beautiful this spot is and to shoot here more often!

Mount Falcon is located about 40 minutes from Denver. It is the West Trailhead, which is important to distinguish because there are two trailheads and the East Trailhead is much closer to Denver and has very different views. The West trailhead sits up high and overlooks the Front Range, which is beautiful and perfect for photoshoots where people want views of the mountains.

We did this photoshoot in July and that was perfect because things were still green. With temperatures in the 90’s lately, it may not stay green for long! Either way, this spot is beautiful year round, just different!

Lindsay did great with the outfits. I loved the orange floral dress and thought it worked perfectly for the landscape. Flowy dresses usually work great for senior photos in nature!

Are you interested in doing a photoshoot in the mountains near Denver? Mount Falcon is an awesome location and I have the annual photo permit to allow us to shoot there (which is required). The best time to do a photoshoot at Mount Falcon is in the late afternoon. Because it sits up high, closer to sunset is the best time to shoot. We don’t have the mountains blocking the afternoon sun so we get the low sun during sunset which is great for sun flares and getting creative! Parking at Mount Falcon is easy. The highest parking lot can fill up but there are two lots and it is never an issue getting a spot.
